What We Do
We provide free guitar lessons, matching grants for instruments, and accessories. to Veterans and 1st Responders, $200 funds a guitar and accessories. Any donation makes music happen for veterans and other heroes.

Veterans, active duty, and first responders in Collier, Lee, or Charlotte counties in Florida.
You do not need to have a disability rating to participate
Tell me about lessons.
Private lesson are 1-on-1 with an instructor for 45 minutes We offer small group sessions with other Vets to share music and camaraderie. We have the most fun, when we make music together.
Lessons are at locations in Ft. Myers and Naples, Florida
Our Mission & Values
Heroes Making Music is a 501 (c) (3) Non Profit organization dedicated to the teaching and encouragement of music enrichment for our veterans, 1st responders and other heroes. Your donation is completely tax deductible and will be utilized to provide instruments, accessories, rehearsal space, grants and music to be used by our students. A minimum of your contribution (less than 5%) will be used for accounting and other services needed to operate the charitable organization.

We treat every donation with rigorous care. Detailed impact reports, independent audits, allow supporters to trace each dollar from receipt to result.

Founder & Board Chair
Long-time advocate and volunteer dedicated to providing the gift of music to our veterans and 1st responders. Mark has taught guitar to dozens of students in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and Florida. Mark has a passion for teaching and has recruited like minded individuals as instructors for our program.
